CareerSense Exploration Workshop (13-18 year olds)

Following a time of disrupted learning, help your students feel secure about their future and confident in their skills. CareerSense is aimed at improving employability prospects for the future workforce. It’s completely free and designed to support teachers with careers education. Inspiring future generations to develop their skills, experience and career opportunities is our aim.

In this free, easy-to-use 1-hour workshop, students will complete a series of tasks supported by the virtual presence of a NatWest Group employee Ambassador, using real-life examples. They will explore key skills, spotting when each is used and reflecting on their own capabilities. Bringing jobs to life, the workshop enables students to recognise the vital transferable skills they can develop.

CareerSense Dream Bigger Workshop (16-18 year olds)

Help your class understand that entrepreneurship is a very real career path with CareerSense Dream Bigger. It’s free, easy-to-deliver and can be run at a time that suits you.

The programme aims to inspire young people, raise their confidence and broaden their horizons. Getting them to ‘Dream Bigger’ through developing their skills and resilience, levelling up their transferable skills for the future world of work.

This one hour, teacher-led workshop will:

  • Introduce young people to entrepreneurship by connecting with a real-life bank Ambassador.
  • Provide you with all the resources necessary to deliver the session (with or without an Ambassador).
  • Be flexible with virtual or face-to-face support (depending on when you book), or use pre-recorded videos.

We’ll work around your timetable and help your class to reach Gatsby benchmarks and the PSHE programme of study.

Plug and Play

There are also three downloadable 20-minute ‘Plug and Play’ sessions. Use these resources independently, or before or after the CareerSense Dream Bigger workshop, to embed learning. All three plug and play sessions feature real-life entrepreneurs and are led by a ‘virtual’ bank Ambassador.

CareerSense Find Your Potential (13-18 year olds)

The Find Your Potential resources support 13-18 year-olds to discover their strengths and skills for the future world of work. Students will receive personalised information on future careers they may want to pursue, based on their strengths and what they enjoy.

The curriculum-linked resources help students develop self-awareness and confidently start to think about career next steps. Each student will receive a tailored skills report once they’ve completed their online questionnaire.

The resources allow flexible delivery for all students in different learning environments. For example, in a classroom lesson, during tutor time, as part of an assembly, a careers interview, or during independent study.
